Ms. Walker has practiced with Miller, Miller & Canby since 1987. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, wills, trusts and estate administration. Her expertise includes such matters as tax planning (estate, gift, trust and generation skipping transfer taxes); planning for the protection and disposition of an individual's property interests (including pets); and planning for special needs, be they those of children or elderly family members. Her work encompasses developing the estate plan; preparing the documents which effect that plan, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives for health care and living will declarations; and probate and estate administration, including representation of individual and corporate personal representatives in the administration of estates.
Prior to joining Miller, Miller & Canby, she was associated with the law firm of Venable, Baetjer and Howard and also with Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver in Baltimore, Maryland.
Ms. Walker has written a number of articles on estate planning topics and has spoken on estate planning topics before numerous groups. In addition, she conducts seminars for community groups on estate planning.
